1. Why stare and not speak?! We wish you would make a move.
2. Plan the first date. Though you may feel more comfortable passing it off on us, it’s nice to know you’ve put SOME thought into our first level headed encounter.
3. We wish you would quit asking to see our real hair. NO, not all black women who wear weave are bald headed scallywags. Your safe 60% of the time.
4. Plan a spur of the moment lunch date. Stealing time is the ultimate display of affection.
5. Offer your assistance with something of interest to her.
6. Take things slow. Don’t be so hasty to stick your tongue down her throat on your first “my place or yours” date. At least ACT like you have other intentions. Mystery and Sexy are first cousins.
7. Tell her which song reminds you of her. Yes it’s cheesy, but every time she hears it you will be on her mind. You can even recycle the same song, different girl – she won’t know the difference.
8. Be nice to our girlfriends. We are the judge and they are the jury – you are innocent until our besties say your guilty.
9. Clean up before she comes over, a toothpaste speckled bathroom mirror is never a good look. You know your mama taught you how to use Windex!
10. No, she does not want to play Call of Duty with your grown behind. Unless its’ a girl approved Wii game, pack up the game console when she’s around.That’s all I could think of at the moment. I am sure there’s more!
